12 October, 2023 marks 40 years of shaping our region as Daracon Group; where we celebrate a legacy of transformation and community impact.

How It All Started

Daracon Engineering was formed in Elermore Vale, Newcastle by David and Susan Mingay – who to this day remain the owners of the business. Operations commenced with one machine and one operator before the company grew the following year and moved to Cessnock.

40 years on and having grown into a business employing over 880+ employees, Daracon Group remains one of the largest family owned and operated civil construction businesses based in the Hunter.
