Daracon commenced Stage 1 upgrade works on the 14 March 2022, to help address the client’s (City of Newcastle) immediate needs of safety, water quality and accessibility at the pools after extensive community consultation. Stage 1 of the Newcastle Ocean Baths Upgrade included the rebuilding and restoration of the pool, promenades, and pumping system, extending the design life of the facility for a further 50 years.
View ProjectThe Cottage Creek and Foreshore Upgrade Project is located within the Honeysuckle Precinct Area which is adjacent to Newcastle CBD. The Foreshore upgrade permanent works comprised the construction of a promenade extending 450m along previously reclaimed Lee Wharf 4, 5, and Throsby Wharfs, inclusive of a pedestrian bridge over Cottage Creek. The project also included the remediation and landscaping works to create open spaces adjacent to Cottage Creek.
View ProjectThe AGL Void 5 project included the construction of multiple earthen dam walls comprising 130,000m3 of selected fill material. These earthen dam walls were constructed at the Ravensworth Void 5 North and South Arm Locations. This allowed for the continued depositing of fly ash in the void 5 location.

Stage 3B of the Pacific Highway upgrade at Lisarow involves the widening of the existing Pacific Highway to provide two lanes in each direction between Parsons Road and Ourimbah Street, Lisarow, a length of approximately 1.6 kilometres in the local government area of Central Coast Council.

The project is required in order to minimise the impact on the community during flood events, in which the existing road can flood for an extended period of time.
View ProjectDaracon was awarded the contract for the Redevelopment of Newcastle East Public School Playground which involved removal of contaminated material.
The NSW Department of Education had previously identified the potential for contamination at Newcastle East Public School caused through the replacement of existing roofing and contaminated fill material in past projects.
Located on the corner of Bavin and Perth Road, Broadmeadow, NSW. Previously the area has been utilized for cricket and junior Rugby League matches but in recent years it has been rarely used as a consequence of it becoming waterlogged after rain events due to inadequate site grading and drainage.
The project involves the construction of 3 full-size Rugby League fields, 2 mini fields along with 2 private and 1 public carpark and the upgrade of existing Bavin Road.
