Daracon Group has proudly secured a finalist position in the prestigious 'Contribution to the Region' category at the 2024 Hunter Business Awards. The recognition comes because of their outstanding support and involvement with a range of much loved, community organisations across the region including: Variety – The Children’s Charity, Soul Hub, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service.
Daracon Group's contributions to these charitable organisations have been significant and impactful. They donated a van to Soul Hub, enabling crucial food rescue operations, and celebrated surpassing $250,000 in funds raised for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, which provides 24/7 emergency aeromedical support. Finally, over the last 25 years, Daracon’s steadfast support of the Variety Bash has resulted in over $1,870,000 being raised to help Variety NSW/ACT assist children in need.
The annual Hunter Business Awards have long been a cornerstone in the region’s business community, celebrating the exceptional contributions of businesses and individuals to the local economy and beyond.
Adam Kelly, Director Business Development at Daracon Group, expressed his gratitude for being named a finalist. "Being recognised in the 'Contribution to the Region' category is an honour, one that is a proud moment for all our staff and suppliers who’ve shared our commitment to supporting vital community initiatives," Kelly said.
"Our involvement in the Variety Bash, Soul Hub, and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service reflects our dedication to giving back to the community we’ve operated in for 40 years," he said.

The highly anticipated 2024 Hunter Business Awards will be held on Friday 13 September, 2024, at NEX - Newcastle Exhibition & Convention Centre.
