Christmas is a special time of year, but it can also be a challenging time for those most in need across the community. That’s why Daracon Group is supporting Soul Hub’s 2023 ‘Hampers of Hope’ Appeal and 2024 ‘Story of Soul’ Calendar drive.
Staff from Daracon’s locations across Newcastle are jumping on board to provide goods and donations to support Soul Hub’s guests this Christmas period. The hampers will include basic food, drinks and festive cheer for some of Newcastle’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged people.
Daracon’s Director of Business Development, Adam Kelly, shared his experience, “Donating is as simple as downloading the Hampers of Hope shopping list to build a hamper this festive season; we will make sure all our hampers make their way to Soul Hub by the December 14 cut-off date,” said Mr Kelly.
“We’re fortunate to have a large local staff base to help spread the message about the Soul Hub Hampers of Hope Appeal, and we think there is so much potential for the Newcastle community to get behind this worthy cause,” he said.
Daracon have been supporting Soul Hub since 2007, donating the ‘Soul Ute’ plus covering the fully serviced vehicle including fuel costs. This enables Soul Hub to pick up from places like Second Bite (Coles), Top Cuts, Pelican, The Butchery and The Grumpy Baker, to name a few.
You can learn more about the Soul Ute and Soul Hub’s entire Delivery Team by picking up one of the 2024 ‘Story of Soul’ calendars – on sale for only $10 including postage across Australia.
Soul Hub is community-funded, not government funded. Come Christmas Day 2023, Soul expects to have provided 55,000+ meals to vulnerable and homeless people, made possible only because of the generous financial support of the Newcastle community.
