Every drop counts

News | Wednesday, 19th February 2020

Daracon continues to work hard to ensure that every drop of water used by the business counts, not only during times of water restrictions but during standard business operations as well. During recent periods of low dam levels and restrictions imposed by relevant authorities, as a Group, we have been working specifically with the Hunter and Sydney Water Authorities to ensure that our water usage complies with imposed restrictions and any exemptions approved for our business operations.

Whilst we continue to strive to provide acceptable water-saving measures to help offset or minimise water usage during business operations, we have also developed and are maintaining water efficiency management plans relevant to all aspects of our business.

Although we welcome the news that Level 2 water restrictions will revert to Level 1 in the Hunter Region on Monday 24th February and the 1st of March in Sydney; Daracon will continue to operate and maintain its diligence with responsible water use.

Below are two water-saving posters that were generated by Daracon and circulated to our operational personnel in the Hunter Water and Sydney Water catchment areas to remind all of us how we can help make every drop count, not only at work but whilst at home as well.
