Daracon Team Members Win 2023 CCF NSW People Awards

The anticipation and excitement were palpable as the Civil Contractors Federation NSW (CCF NSW) People Awards unveiled the winners on November 3, 2023, at the prestigious Rosehill Gardens Racecourse. Daracon Group, a leading integrated civil construction company, had much to celebrate as two of its team members emerged victorious in their respective categories.


Timothy Guise was recognized as the Plant Operator of the Year, a testament to his proficiency in handling complex machinery and his unwavering dedication to his craft. Tim is no stranger to stiff competition, finishing third in NSW in the Global Caterpillar Operator Challenge in 2022. Tim has had a lengthy career at Daracon in a variety of roles, finding his calling in the Plant division as an expert Final Trim Excavator Operator.



In the Project Manager over $2M category, Alex Massey showcased his exceptional project management skills, which undoubtedly played a pivotal role in the success of Daracon Group's latest Newcastle Ocean Baths Redevelopment Project. Alex has shown leadership with the project achieving successful outcomes, including team management, subcontractor oversight, safety compliance and stakeholder communication.


The CCF NSW People Awards is an annual event that recognizes and honours outstanding individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the civil construction industry. This year, Daracon Group proudly nominated five of their own, each excelling in their respective fields. These nominees represented the diverse talent and skills that have been pivotal to the company's 40-year success story.

Jon Mingay, Managing Director of Daracon Group, expressed his delight at having five team members nominated and two ultimately winning at the CCF NSW People Awards.
