Bronze Sustainability Advantage Partnership Awarded to Daracon Group

On July 24, 2023, Daracon Group accepted its Bronze partnership with the NSW Department of Planning and Environment Sustainability Advantage program at the Sydney Opera House from The Hon Penny Sharpe MLC, Minister for Climate Change, Minister for Energy, Minister for the Environment and Minister for Heritage. This ceremony marked a significant occasion for Daracon's commitment to sustainability.

Daracon Group has joined over 800 medium to large organizations that are part of Sustainability Advantage. Spearheaded by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, Sustainability Advantage aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices across New South Wales. This membership serves as a testament to Daracon's commitment to sustainable initiatives and its desire to lead by example within the construction industry.

In 2022, the company chose to formalise this commitment by joining Sustainability Advantage and fostering a network of like-minded sustainability practitioners to become leaders in this space.

In celebration of World Accreditation Day, Daracon reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to sustainability by actively engaging in internal and external initiatives to identify ways to contribute to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Net Zero emissions target.

By conducting its everyday operations in accordance with internationally recognized standards, such as ISO14001, Daracon Group ensures that its accredited and certified systems align with its sustainability goals. ISO14001 sets the foundation for the company's commitment to environmental stewardship and provides a framework for effective environmental management.
