Summary

Since commencement of the project in January 2017, Daracon has completed approximately 400 of the total master planned 3000 lot development and we are currently constructing an additional 280 lots. Work also includes the completion of the entire bulk earthworks for all the planned 3000 lots.

Challenges

  • Prioritising the securing of import volume in order to confirm source so as to meet the program requirements. 
  • Staging works to not impact on the existing flood storage volume in the event of rainfall on-site
  • Due to the site sitting adjacent to South Creek, we manage and control water runoff around existing riparian corridors that run through the site 
  • Daily communication with the existing caretaker to discuss problems and action solutions to do with dust suppression, noise and water runoff control
  • The Sewer Pump Station servicing residents of the Elara Estate (located adjacent to our site boundary) currently runs along a proposed road within our works. We therefore adjust our proposed stormwater and services as we progress
  • Procurement and programming of material deliveries and subcontract works to ensure we meet the project program.
