Daracrete Named as Finalist at 2026 Singleton Business Awards

Daracrete, a leading ready-mix concrete supplier and part of the Daracon Group, has been recognised as a Finalist at the 2026 Singleton Business Awards, shortlisted for the Excellence in Large Business category.

For 38 years, the Singleton Business Awards has celebrated the local business community and the contribution they make to the economic and social wellbeing of Singleton. The awards acknowledge organisations who have demonstrated strength, innovation and resilience. 

Daracrete’s recognition celebrates the achievements of the business over the past 12 months, most notably the successful launch of its new Mount Thorley batch plant. The facility has strengthened local supply chain capability and delivered high-quality concrete solutions to major infrastructure, civil, and construction projects across Singleton and the wider the Hunter Valley.

Importantly, it has also created new employment opportunities for people living in the Singleton LGA, with Daracrete prioritising local recruitment and skills development to build a stable, capable regional workforce.

Beyond its operational growth, Daracrete has been an active contributor to the Singleton community, partnering with Singleton Council, the NSW Government and Business Singleton on the "Consider a Career in Singleton" initiative to promote careers in the construction industry to local jobseekers.

Cheslyn Africa, Daracrete Operations Manager, said that the finalist announcement was a proud moment for the team.

 Winners will be announced at the Singleton Business Awards Gala Presentation Dinner on 4 July at the Singleton Civic Centre.
