Celebrating 50 Years of Deadly: Daracon Group Recognises NAIDOC Week 2026

Each year, National NAIDOC Week is a time to reflect, recognise and celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their culture, history and contributions. In 2026, as NAIDOC Week marks 50 Years of Deadly (5 – 12 July), the milestone is a moment to reflect on the progress that has been made, while also looking ahead to the opportunities and continued momentum that will shape the coming generations.

At Daracon Group, NAIDOC week is an important moment to reaffirm its commitment to creating and extending meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and businesses.

This commitment is reflected in Daracon’s workforce, where more than 8% of employees identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. This representation is the result of deliberate actions to support employment pathways, strengthen engagement with Aboriginal communities, and work in partnership with Aboriginal enterprises across the regions in which Daracon operates.

To support this commitment, Daracon is focussing on increasing cultural awareness across the business to ensure they provide a culturally safe, respectful and inclusive workplace for all employees to thrive.
