50 by 50 Campaign

As an equal employment supporter, we are paving a way for women in construction, engineering and environmental sciences.

In line with our other Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, Daracon has signed on to support Civil Contractors Federation NSW’s ‘50 by 50’ campaign.

The ’50 by 50’ campaign is a vision to reach equal gender participation within the NSW Civil Construction industry by 2050, and is part of a proposal submitted to the NSW Government by CCF NSW last week.

To demonstrate our support of the ’50 by 50’ campaign, Daracon has committed to becoming an Employer Champion for Women in Civil, supporting women to join and remain in the NSW Civil Construction Industry.

The National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC)

Daracon are proud to be members of The National Association of Women In Construction (NAWIC), an organisation which welcome women in construction, and their allies, from all walks of life, cultures, ages and career stages. 

Their members work in remote and regional locations, in the city, by the coast, on farms and in factories, as sole traders and in large commercial and government enterprises and infrastructure. NAWIC members work onsite on the tools, in the office and a hybrid of these, are apprentices, business backbones, male allies and CEO’s and everything in between.
