Daracon Quarries has many years of experience in safe, effective, quality and efficient operations in the quarrying industry. Extensive industry experience of our skilled personnel continues to provide customers with security and comfort in the achievement of product and customer requirements in a co-operative relationship orientated environment.
We have vast experience delivering small and large scale construction material projects with challenging specification and customer requirements, the management team consists of experienced engineering, technical, sales, development and transport personnel that provide Daracon with a competitive edge.
We operate five quarries across the Hunter and Upper Hunter area with deposits that range from durable Andesite to ridge gravel, our quarry business is supplemented with a fleet of late model truck and dog vehicles providing flexibility to better meet continuously changing customer and project demands. Due to our extensive geographical coverage of the Newcastle area and access to a diverse range of material we have the ability to offer materials compliant with Australian Standards, Local Government, State Government, and ARTC specifications providing our customers with a range of viable solutions to meet all their construction needs.
The variety of equipment in the crushing fleet provides a broad range of flexibility that enables us to cater for a wide range of crushing and screening requirements. The integration of the quarry fleet and general earthmoving plant allows access to all types of loaders, excavators, dozers, dump trucks, etc required for specific contract crushing projects and quarry operations. As with Daracon’s earthmoving plant, our crushing plants are maintained to the highest standard by highly trained internal personnel or specialised contractors.
Daracon’s current crushing capacity is in excess of 3 million tonnes per annum with the current combination of screens and jaw, cone and impactor crushers. Crushing personnel have a very broad experience of crushing on site in quarries, civil projects, rail projects and mines, and have the safety culture and know how to operate within these environments.
Daracon own and operate 5 Aran pugmills and one Rapidmix machine. These are contracted for work on civil projects, to quarries around Australia, as well as operate within our own quarries.
