Significant Achievements

  • The gravity sewer reticulation for stage 1 of the development was required to be 8 metres deep. 7 metres of the excavation was in hard rock and required large plant and equipment to excavate to the required levels to install the pipe. With the required battering and benching, to maintain safety standards, this calculated to be some 11,500 cubic metres of rock. Due to the encountered rock reprogramming of the construction program was required as it drove the project critical path.¬† See Photo below of the first bench excavation.
  • Hunter Rise will be the first residential development in the Hunter to have the National Broadband Network go live. The required hardware (TFAN, FDH and exchange backhaul) is currently under construction and is due to be commissioned with the construction of the first home.
